34 Students registered at the Rugby Factory in January 2008. 27 Students completed the course in November 2008.

The Rugby Factory is especially proud of the following rugby related achievements:

• 2 X Lions u/19 players.
• 2 X Lions u/21 players.
• 6 X Lions Amateur u/19 players.
• 1 X Lions u/21 player.
• 12 X UJ u/19A players.
• 2 X UJ Rautels players.
• 2 X Falcons u/19 players.
• 1 X Pirates 1st XV player.
• 1 X Lions 7’s player

Players that completed the course all received the following certifications:

• GLRU Level 1 Coaching Certificate.
• GLRU Referee Level 1 Certificate.
• Emergency First Response First Aid Qualification.
• Injury prevention and management certificate.
• Basic Strapping Certificate.

In addition the Factory played in the 2008 Steinhoff Knockout League final and also in the Steinhoff Koshuisrugby Semi-Final. Students attended classes in a wide variety of subjects in especially sport management but also nutrition, supplementation, facility management and even a cooking class.
